Houston

We have moved to Houston, TX for the summer. Jake is selling security systems and the kids and I are playing. We have been here for a few weeks and starting to settle in to our summer vacation of swimming, parks and museums. I hope to keep this blog a little more updated so that our families can see the kids growing and having fun. I have really enjoyed being able to spend so much time with my children.

John is such a good boy. He is so honest and obedient. He got baptized last month and bore his testimony last Sunday. He did a great job going in front of the ward, which is much much bigger than our branch in Garden Valley. It was a wonderful for him. He asked me why I didn't go up and I said because I had to feed Micheal, John smiled at me and said "it's cause your scared." He was mostly right.

Jayla is almost 5 years old and is such a precious girl. She loves being able to swim everyday. She is becoming quite a great swimmer. She is constantly amazing me at all she can do. Our apartment complex is like a big maze. There are quite a few different buildings with two swimming pools in between, a few courtyards, the parking garage, a lobby and throw in where we get the mail, I am fequently trying to remember which turn to make. But my little Jayla has got it all memorized. I just ask her, which way to the elevator, or which way to the mailboxes and she'll say this way or that. I just follow her and have yet to be disappointed.

Michael is growing so fast. When we got here he still hadn't found his legs. But now he is standing all the time. He is so proud of himself about it too. He'll stand and laugh. He is also rolling all over the place and eating baby food. He is growing too fast, but I am trying to enjoy every minute of it. He also is loving swimming in the pool and meeting new people. He loves new people, their voices and faces keep him very occupied.

We have also got to spend some time with two of cousins, one from each side of the family. It has been nice to get to know them better. Hopefully you will check back with us often and see how our Texas adventure is going.
